Michael is a 1994 graduate of the Alabama School for the Blind. He completed training for the Business Enterprise Program (BEP) at E.H. Gentry Technical Facility in 2001. Michael owns and operates Talley Vending Services in Birmingham, as part of BEP. He has served on the Elected Committee of Blind Vendors for 14 years and has been the Chairman of the Elected Committee for the past 7 years. He currently serves as the President of Alabama Council of the Blind and serves on the National Board of Directors for the American Council of the Blind. He is active in several other organizations and committees and loves to help others. Michael enjoys traveling and doing speaking engagements. He has been legally blind since birth but says he is blessed to have the vision he does have. Michael has been married to Angela for 16 years and they have a 19-year-old daughter, Mary. Michael is the middle school boys Sunday school teacher, at Union Hill Baptist Church. Michael’s hobbies include listening to audiobooks and podcasts, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
